As the average life span of present humankind increases, the medical and social efforts and expenses increase continuously. Recent issues of Time and other major media deal with Asian longevity with a great interest and scientific perspectives. Simultaneously, attempts to prevent or delay aging employing anti-aging medicine are spreading worldwide and become a popular and important field of medicine even though anti-aging medicine is not still accompanied by high-level evidence.

This conference is an important forum for the presentation and discussion of new developments in the field of anti-aging medicine. Chairmen and Presidents of KA3M, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine (JAAM), Society for Anti-Aging Medicine Malaysia (SAAMM), Thai Society and Singaporean Anti-Aging leaders and many other distinguished speakers will be invited as lecturers. They will give us a chance to in-depth review over Asian longevity secrets and to think over the future perspectives on Anti-Aging Medicine in Asia- Oceania region. An extensive exhibition will accompany the meeting, enabling delegates to review the scientific innovations and medical researches.

Dear Members of KA3M

I am delighted to give this congratulatory message to the KA3M. It is already 6 years since KA3M has been founded, and has been affiliated to A4M for 3 years now.Publishing its journal is a wonderful development for the KA3M and we are also happy about this.The ABAAM written exam was successful in Seoul in 2003, and the federation should be very proud that 10 Diplomates and 5 candidates have passed the written and oral examination process. It is impressive for Korea, which is a starting country in Anti-Aging Medicine, to have harvested so important an achievement in the first year of international association.

Korea is famous for its traditional natural remedies of Anti-Aging Medicine, including ginseng, etc. I hope KA3M and A4M, and many other societies cooperate with one another to build this important new specialty of medicine, and contribute to the mankind's knowledge base of longevity and anti-aging.

Once again, I send my sincere congratulation to KA3M for the first issue of Journal of KA3M.

We, Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine, would like to express our heartfelt congratulations on the launch of Anti-Aging Medical Research. It is a great pleasure for me to send this massage on this occasion.

Our society was originally founded in March, 2001 with its members of 20, as the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine Japan(A3MJ). Since then, we have had the annual congress in every June and widely acclaimed its reputation from every fields of the medical profession.

In April, 2003, we reorganize our body and changed our name into Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine. Fortunately enough, we have 10 of Japan's most prestigious medical establishment to take up the positions of the executive board members as well as some board members newly joined. I believe that newly developed science and technology relating anti-aging medicine would be the key not only to lead the people to have high quality of life, but to solve the many problems on national health insurance system.

Our society was originally founded in 1999 and we have held annual conferences every year and been widely recognized as frontier initiative in the field of AAM in Korea. Now we have more than 800 members consisted of different fields of the medical profession.

In September, 2004, Asia-Oceania Federation of Anti-Aging Medicine (AOFAAM), of which SAAMM is an important member, will have its Council Meeting in Seoul, Korea, and the cooperation and association among member societies will expand more and more. Especially, as the same Asian nations, we are looking forward to have a closer relationship between SAAMM and KA3M in regard to scientific research in the field of up-to-date and traditional anti-aging medicines.

We believe that newly developed science and technology relating anti-aging medicine would be the key not only to lead the people to have higher quality of life, but to solve the many health problems of our nations.
